Your children, through your citizenship, should be eligible to become US citizens and you should contact the US Consulate nearest you to inquire how to go about that. With that citizenship, you would all be able to travel to Germany on the Visa Waiver Program, which is essentially a tourist visa and allows you to visit for up to 90 days. However, if you are intending to emigrate to Germany, then all three of you would require visas. You should inquire with the closest German embassy (Tehran, I believe) as to the process this requires.

if your children are other then american citizens YES they require a visa

How the heck did that happen??? not another American Female Brainwashed? >< O aaaaAAAAARRRGGGHHHHH!!! http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474976995991

Unless they carry US passports, then yes, they'll need German visas. If you want to pursue US citizenship for your children, you can contact the US consulate in Dubai or elsewhere. If your children qualify for US citizenship, they can be issued US passports, but those are printed in the US, so unless this is a real emergency, you'll have to wait a week or so to get them. Check out the internet sites for the various embassies and consulates at usembassy.state.gov and look for the American Citizen Services sections. Also, check out travel.state.gov for information on what specifically is required to have your children recognized as US citizens.

Is it foolish to want to live in Iran

Is it foolish to want to live in Iran?
I'm 15 and I currently live in London but my relatives live in Iran. I am in love with Iran and want to live there but my mother refuses because she dislikes the government. People are running away from Iran yet I want to go there. Does that seem a little foolish? :/

Yes, very. Unless you have a specific reason for being there, as a contractor or whatnot. Otherwise, there's nothing for you there.
2 :
I would think that's very foolish. Because the UK is the only place you have lived, you take your liberties for granted. Where you live now, you can communicate on the Web like you just did. You can leave the house and go to a friend's house alone. You can shop alone if you want. You don't have to get married until you want to. And you can keep what you earn. In Iran, you can't do those things.
3 :
Go if you think it will make you happy
4 :
Maybe a few two-week visit to see the relatives would be in order first. Your Mom is right about the government.
5 :
Well naive for sure. But you're young and like many young people you have a fanciful vision of what life would be like. Your mother is right. Until there is at least a regime change, Iran is the worst place to be... especially for a woman/girl.
6 :
your brain is still three.
7 :
Iran is a radical fundamentalist theocracy which is very repressive of women. Personal freedom and free speech are extremely limited. They also practice Sharia law which is extremely harsh. Go visit your relatives for a week or two, but do not stay. You will find that many of the people in Iran envy your freedom and would gladly trade places with you.
8 :
Unless you are an "Islamic Idealist" who is willing to live by Shariah Law to the letter? If you aren't an Idealist, and you are not willing to live under the thumb of Shariah law enforced by the men of the land then it is a foolish notion. Listen to your mother dear; the land may be a wonderful remnant of the old Persian world but the current state of affairs is inhumane. It is inhumane by the hands of men and will not go away until the return of the Messiah. Stay home where it is relatively safe and sound.
9 :
Ultimately it's your choice and when you're an adult there won't be much stopping you from going to Iran, but you should really look at the quality of life you can have where you live now as opposed to Iran. If nothing else, at least visit the place a few times first. If you really think it's worth taking the bad to get the good, then go ahead, move there. Personally I think you're crazy. From the point of view of an American, I'd much rather live in England than Iran. But it's not my life, it's yours. Just seriously, make sure you understand what you're giving up as well as what you're gaining before you do it. There's a reason so many people want to leave the place. And in the meantime, just remember that your mother is only looking out for you.
10 :
No, not at all.
11 :
If you are Iranian then why are you and your mother living in the UK?

'Persian Jews' 150,000 to '200,000' (est.) Israel 75,000 to 135,000 Iran approx. 25,000 to 40,000 United States 75,000
2 :
From the Jewish Telegraphic Agency Although some Jews originally supported the revolution as an agent of democracy, some 70 to 90 percent of Iran's Jewish population -- estimated at anywhere between 70,000 and 120,000 -- has since left the country, driven by fear of persecution under the sometimes violently anti-capitalist, anti- Zionist regime. The majority of them went to Israel, but some 50,000 to 55,000 Iranian Jews now live in the United States, mostly in Los Angeles and on Long Island, N.Y. http://www.jewishsf.com/content/2-0-/module/displaystory/story_id/10877/edition_id/208/format/html/displaystory.html
