Gosh, maybe it's something to do with the fact that Iranian Jews can't even PHONE family in other countries without incurring punishment, bullying and even worse! Some Iranian Jews are too old and settled to just uproot and go; the younger relatives have been warned that if they themselves go, those left behind will suffer.

I guess the other answers says it all, but when it comes to your claim of Israel being Theocratic, it's nothing more than b¨llsh*t! Israel is a secular state whith most of its Jewish inhabitants being atheists. It's not ruled by the Sanhedrin, but instead they rely on the Knesset which is a democratic parliament where even Arabic citizens have the right to sit.

Because Iranian Jews are not allowed to emigrate from Iran. There are severe restrictions on Jews even traveling outside the country. If a Jew goes outside Iran, he must leave a wife, children, siblings, or parents behind as hostages; if he goes to Israel, his loved ones will be executed. Also, the "statement" that the "Jewish community" supposedly made -- that was a statement it was required to make. Any Jew who would say anything different would be jailed, tortured, and executed. The only reason that Iran hasn't killed all of its Jews yet is that Jews are politically expedient at this time. If, hypothetically, Iran were to destroy Israel, it would then proceed to exterminate the Jews -- and then deny it ever happened. Edited to respond to "additional details": Because 100 years ago, the Iranian Jews had nowhere else to go. Your whole "question" is sort of like asking why Jews didn't just leave Auschwitz if conditions there were so bad.

Jews lived in Iran a long time ago, at the time of greatest kingdom and mightiest super power, ever. King of kings Cyrus the great.. his kingdom included the entire world known at the time. He declared the first human rights definitions that were carved in stone! Today it is kept in united nation. King Cyrus took over roman empire and freed All the Jews from slavery. Today by some account t over 35000 Jews live in Iran. Also many Iranian Jews live Israel.

I am Iranian, and I regard Jews as brothers...many died for their country fighting Saddam: Iran's Jewish community are proud of their Iranian heritage. They have near complete freedom to go worship, work and so forth. Don't believe the Israeli lies.

Iranian muslims have nothing against Iranian jews. Iranians only hate the Jews of and who live in Israel, the ones who illegal stole and occupied palestine and claimed it as there own. They the jews of Israel shed palestinian blood and killed innocnet womean and children, not the Iranian jews. After Israel Iran has the next highest population of jews and they are not treated any different to that of Iranian muslim citizens (exception military positions), unlike Israel who treats palestinians as not even humans, whose utilities for power, water and sewage are constantly bombed. Iran does not bomb the jewish Iranian populations utilities, he (iranian govenrment) actually provides it to them. They the Iranian jews are not executed or in any way harmed, as the government does not hold them for the unjustly acts of the jews of Israel. They do not have blood on their hands the Iranian jews and are allowed to live peaceful and good lifestyles in Iran. Iranian jews love Iran, because Iranian muslims work together and co-operate with iranian jews in a kindly manner. Iranian is Iranian and the Iranian jews have every right to live in Iran, as they are Iranian blood and have not invaded Iran or done anything that would be considered wrong. Hence they are able to live their great life Iran, with limited if any restrictions, without the war and hassle of the problems in the illegal occupied state of palestine, otherwise known as Israel.
