How many Turks ( or Turkics, you know ) live in Iran

How many Turks ( or Turkics, you know ) live in Iran?
And how many of them consider Turk / Turkish their own selves? I know so many turkic people live in Iran. But do they feel as an Anatolian Turk?

Turk & Turkic is not the same thing. Turkic is a language classification, relating to the Altaic family tree. So perhaps there are people in Iran who speak a Turkic language, but this does not make them Turk, Anatolian Turk or Turkish. It's similar to Germans & Germanic languages. English is a Germanic language but do the English view themselves as Germans? No, but their language is Germanic.

I know there is a large percent of Azerbaijani natives that live in northern Iran (Tabriz) and they are sometimes mistakenly referred to as Turks. They speak Azerbaijani which is very close to Turkish.

mybe u can find a website regarding this. besides this if u already know a bit english, read. but it is important that you read informative books and not novels because they feature some charecters that do not use proper tenses. since u need to learn so it would be better to read informatives than novels.

I doubt that any Iranians could get close enough to the President to talk about peace, but if you ran really fast maybe you could get a few words out.
