it's cooler

Well stone keeps the heat out just like the resorts in mexico are made of cement to keep from over heating. Tan coloured possibly because that is the colour they are and they don't bother to paint.

Would You Live In Iran For A Month

Would You Live In Iran For A Month?
If you had the opportunity would you go live in Iran for a month to experience life there for yourself?

i think its one of those life-changing experiences that would help the west wake up and not be brainwashed by everything the media portrays! it would be a chance to get a mind of your own! If you are considering it, go along and do it!
2 :
Probably not. For one thing, I'm a woman and I refuse to wear a burkah, and secondly, one of my dreams is to visit Egypt and I'm actually fearful of going there because I am American. Sad, isn't it?
3 :
Not a chance.. especially after seeing that movie Not Without My Daughter back in the 90's
4 :
I see nothing attractive about going there, unless Ahmadinejad and the Mullahs are overthrown first. I've known Iranians and I like them as a people, but the Iranian government is not trustworthy.
5 :
No, I like picking out my own clothes. I doubt they would be as accepting of my cultural. Some how we are supposed to respect their social customs, but in their countries they do not have to respect our social customs.
6 :
I would LOVE to SEE all these LIBERALS(especially Clinton, Pelosi, and Reed) try to live there a month!!!! then they(liberals) may understand how good their lives were in the states..... maybe they would appreciate our military alittle bit more:)
7 :
Yes, whats wrong with Iran????
8 :
No. But, then, I wouldn't visit Canada for that long either. I'm not the travelling type.
9 :
No, I wouldn't. My TV gives me the opportunity to to visit places, I would like to live. And to see how those people live day in and day out. Personally, I wouldn't feel safe. It seems to me the people who live there in Iran want out. And there not exactly fond of Americans. Anyway, I don't want to go to a country that is directly at war with it's own people as well as other countries. But, as I say, everything isn't for everybody, and If you feel that is an 'opportunity' for you to experience...then by all means go.... Good Luck
10 :
Of course, without a doubt. If I was given the possibility of doing so, I would. I like to experience new things and in a country like Iran, that would be an extremely new thing. I am very political (I'm an ardent liberal) and I'm saying this from a cultural point of view rather than a political one.
11 :
only if the Mohamed-in -the-box was open 24hrs a day.
12 :
Yes I would.
13 :
Iran has historically been a death trap for Americans. I would not want to go there and gets accused of something I did not do or be held hostage. If it was not for that, I'd go for I am the traveling type.
14 :
I did for six weeks in 1975. It was great.
15 :
Only if I had my rifle and the rest of the US Army behind me. But I truly hope it NEVER comes to that, these days, I would rather live and let live.
16 :
it is too scaring place for a woman
17 :
Are you insane? Not a chance, there is nothing to be learned from such an excercise in stupidity. I don't care If Iran (Persia) is one of the oldest and most knowledgeable cultures on the planet, you or I would not be allowed to learn from it unless you proved you sympathized with thier way of life, religion, and politics. Anything less than a full conversion to thier current version of Islam and you are a dead person in no time flat.
18 :
I may not survive a week!
19 :
No thank you. I fought for this country and live here . If you want to know what its like there ask an iranan who lives here now.
20 :
Well, I guess it's time for someone who actually lives there post an answer. Yes, living in Iran is hard. Especially for women. But there are some myths regarding Iran (I guess that's natural). First, I'm 28 years old and I've never seen a burkah in Iran. In Afghanistan and Iraq yes, but in Iran, people are not really religious, they just pretend to be! Even the government does not believe in religion any more. Religion and Islam in Iran is about power and domination, not about faith and God. That's why Iranians never join terrorist groups (although our government support them financially), because we are sure that there are no 72 virgins! But regarding life in Iran, especially Tehran where I live, I think a month is too long for an American, but I really suggest TWO WEEKS. That's long enough for you to love the food and people and see us for yourself! ;)
21 :
Only if I could take a sniper rifle, a radio for air support, and was paid a bounty for every mullah and terrorist I bagged.

Isn't it safer to live in Iran than in Chicago, Detroit, or other cities where the conservative gun nuts are

Isn't it safer to live in Iran than in Chicago, Detroit, or other cities where the conservative gun nuts are?
Or almost anywhere in the U.S. where right-wing gun nuts live?

1 :
Chicago and Detroit are NOT conservative right-wing cities. try again A conservative right-wing "gun-nut" city...like Billings Montana, is infinitely safer than Iran
2 :
Chicago and Detroit have conservatives? LOL...... Yes it's safer in Iran than any of those democrat strong holds unless you are gay, or anti government.
3 :
You pointed out our most dangerous cities - the ones where people are NOT allowed to carry guns - because DEMOCRATS demand it be so. Our top-three most dangerous cities are run by Democrats and have been for DECADES, forbid their people arming themselves and are among the most dangerous places in the developed World. Subtract out JUST those three cities and the U.S. "becomes" the SAFEST place on the planet.
4 :
You could do an experiment and go to Iran and report back how safe you feel there. Good luck I hope you make it back alive.
5 :
Interestingly enough, I just filled out my NRA ballot and was surprised to see so many in California.
6 :
Chicago's ban on guns was ruled unconstitutional, how can you say Chicago is full of right wing gun nuts and keep a straight face. And to answer your asinine question; you might be slightly safer but at the cost of freedom.
7 :
There are noi conservative gun nuts in Chicago or Detroit. There are no conservatives at all there.
8 :
Of course, I would rather be thrown into prison without trial for speaking out against the mullah or government, then to live fairly free with my guns
9 :
Chicago and Detoit right wing? HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!
10 :
Yes, you are right. You should move there immediately. You will be so much more free. They won't mind at all if you don't want a gun and are willing to cow down to the great Allah.
11 :
And yet, we have more crimes and gun violence here in the north east, where gun laws are actually stricter, then in those "conservative" states. One really ridiculous law that I've found is in the state of N.J. where you can only shoot ammo during certain times of the year. So if somebody were too shoot an intruder in their own home with ammo that was out of season they would be convicted as a felon and serve a maximum sentence. This is all the more reason why you've seen a high amount of people from "liberal states" moving into "conservative states"
12 :
The only reason to own a gun in Detroit or Chicago is that thanks to the democrats that have run both cities for so long crime is very high. I would bet that law biding citizens, no matter what political affiliation own weapons. Anywhere where "right wing gun nuts" are is safer to live than either of those cities or Iran.
13 :
There are no "conservative gun nuts" in Chicago or Detroit. Guns have been banned in Chicago for over 20 years. None of the gang bangers are paying attention. They vote Democrat Socialist overwhelmingly.
14 :
How do you feel about our founding fathers? Where they wrong in adding the first amendment? Do you believe in life liberty and the pursuit of happiness? Do you believe in God?
15 :
I guess so. Maybe that explains why 41 live rounds of ammunition has been found near the doors of the Wisconsin capitol building this week.
