I have several times. It is surprising how pro-American the Persian people are. No there really are. I am not kidding. They worship American culture. When I called a family there on Thanksgiving they not only knew it was turkey day they wanted to know if I had my Turkey dinner before or after the Cowboy game. I would not want to live forever in any Muslim country. I like to party.

Americans are intolerant? No. And I think that most registered Democrats are American. You must be referring to the mosque debacle here. But whether or not you support a mosque going up or anything like that has nothing to do with where you want to live. It's not that Democrats believe Americans as a whole are intolerant - just a select few. And the religious right would honestly be more at home in Iran if they could get over their irrational fear of Islam and the outside world. Iran is a theoracy, after all, which is what the right seems to want at time.
